This is an idea that's been bothering me for a while now. And on that note, I'm probably to write fan fiction for it very soon as well..........

This image is certainly something that needs an explanation so please to read the rest. I'll go through the important details so you can skip over the art chatter if you want.

Just know that this is a techno-organic AU and not "TFs-as-dogs-hurrdurr". OK?

The thought was simple: "What if Sentinel arrived in time to stop Blackarachnia from experimenting on Wasp?" But in doing this, he enrages her and suffers what would've been Wasp's fate, only worse.

Blackarachnia's a spider, and can feed on life-force. But Sentinel's become part carnivore, and face a terrible fate. His Cybertronian body can't process organic matter, and he can't consume energon or oil because it would poison and kill him, due to his new organic half. Because of that, he's forced to rely solely on Blackarachnia and a special supplement to survive.

Basically, it's an AU stemming from that awful episode. >>

Now, the art chatter.

The picture took, ah, forever. Especially Beast!Sentinel's body and head, the anatomy was simple enough to me but the actual details, not so much. Especially since I had to mind the balance between robotic parts and beast form.

And as you can see, in spite of this being an "alt" rather than his actual mech form, his head is designed to resemble his original face, and parts on his arm are still visible. The way he transforms, as I envisioned it, his arms in 'bot mode are his front legs in beast mode. His shovel remains, since it's an integral part of his design, and becomes a pair of shoulder guards. And the blue guards on his forearms remain, but serve really no purpose now aside from decoration.

I used a different kind of lighting/shading than usual, so it looks a little different from my usual art.
